fees & policies

FEES

My therapy practice is “fee for service,” meaning that payment is due in full at each session. Accepted forms of payment are check, cash, or credit card. Please call me to discuss the rate. Limited sliding scale slots may be available. 

I am considered an out-of-network provider for insurance plans. Depending on your insurance plan, it may be possible for you to get reimbursed for out-of-network care, like the care I provide. When you contact your insurance provider to discuss this, here are some questions to ask:

  • Does my insurance plan cover out-of-network mental health benefits? 

  • How many psychotherapy sessions per year are covered under this plan?

  • What is my annual deductible? Has it been met for this year?

If you learn that you are eligible for reimbursement for an out-of-network provider (i.e., me), I can provide you with a “super bill” to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Just let me know.

CANCEL/NO SHOW POLICY

To be fair to all involved, I require therapy clients to give at least 24 hours notice before a scheduled session to cancel or reschedule. The first time a client cancels late or no shows, the client will be charged 50% of the session fee. For subsequent late cancels and no shows, clients will be charged the full session fee. Repeated late cancels/no shows may lead to early termination of treatment.
